About Me

I am currently working as an assistant professor at Tohoku University. My research focuses on applied mathematics and statistics, specifically Topological Data Analysis and Machine Learning. As part of the Mathematical Science Center for Co-Creative Society and AIMR, I participate in engaging research from several scientific fields such as material science, medical science and operations research. I am also the program coordinator for G-RIPS Sendai, a graduate internship program where students from the US and Japan work together to solve problems from industry.

I received my Ph.D. in Statistical Science from Washington State University in June, 2024. While a graduate student, I worked as an intern at PNNL’s Data Science group. Prior to that I was a mathematics and computer science lecturer at the University of Washington Bothell, shortly after receiving my M.S. in Mathematics (Optimization focus) from UW Seattle.
